A brilliant evening of poetry, music, performance and humour celebrating the creativity and diversity of the theme of peace was held at St Michael's Church, Framlingham, on Saturday 9th March.
The event was crafted through a superb script, written by Richard Stainer, with fantastic performances by Anna Harwich and Paul Deane (readers), Charity Quinn, Edith Peck, George Roxburgh and the inimitable duo Mike Peck and Andrew Behrend.
A total of £560 was raised by the hardy and generous attendees who braved horrendous snow and floods to find their way to the church, some coming over an hour's drive!
A huge thank you to Julia and Bernard Rose who put so much into organising the event, Richard Stainer, all the performers, and Neville and Wendy Jephcote and their daughter Jenni de la Porte who created and served the wonderful canapes and drinks at the interval.
This is the third such event organised and run by this remarkable team who have together raised a fantastic amount of money for CHIPS and greatly raised our profile in East Anglia. We eagerly await the next one!
