We want to say a huge thank you to Claire Hannon (pictured) who ran the Cambridge Half Marathon last month to raise money for CHIPS!
Braving an early morning start in the snow, which later turned to sleet, Claire ran an excellent personal best time. It was a a really horrible day weather-wise which meant very few spectators around the course, making her effort all the more impressive!
Generous family and friends gave £355, which adds up to a brilliant £440 once gift-aid is included. A huge thank you to everyone who donated, as well as to those who ran with Claire and supported her around the course.
Claire used BTMydonate to set up her own fundraising page, where people made online donations to CHIPS. This is a new, free, service which allows us to collect online donations directly or through fundraising events.
If you would like to set up a page to raise money for CHIPS through your own activiy - be it running, walking, skydiving, knitting, or anything at all - just go to the CHIPS page and click "Start Fundraising".
